Mikhail had been suffering from eczema since an early age. Indeed, it had been so severe that he had required hospitalisation on three separate occasions. Perhaps due to the interruption to his school life resulting from his eczema, Mikhail developed concentration issues at school. These issues were so problematic that we sought the advice of a paediatrician who diagnosed Mikhail with ADHD.
Having seen a number of different professionals, including Mikhail’s GP, paediatrician, a homeopath, chiropractor, traditional chinese medicine doctor, occupational therapist and speech & language therapist, we learnt of The Sunflower Programme through a local educational magazine.
Having called The Sunflower Trust, we were told that the programme was totally natural and worked with the principles of nature to help children to become more balanced, integrated and well. We were also told that the Trust provided bursary funding to families who might not be in a financial position to pay for the programme independently.
The application procedure was explained and we downloaded an application form, completed it and returned it to the Trust with supporting documentation as soon as possible. A few weeks later, Mikhail was invited to our local Sunflower clinic (Guildford) for a pre-programme screening appointment with Mark. My husband admitted to feeling a little sceptical about The Sunflower Programme on our way to the initial screening as it seemed a little too good to be true!
Mikhail’s programme ran over a period of 6 months. During that time, Mikhail enjoyed visiting the clinic and listening to the way Mark explained the things he was doing in very practical, understandable ways. Mikhail wasn’t so keen on some of the more lengthy appointments nor was he particularly happy to take the nutritional supplements but he soon got used to it.
By the end of the programme, Mikhail’s father reported that they were seeing an improvement not only in Mikhail’s behaviour and attitude to learning but also in his diet and physical health. He reported that the homeopathic remedies were remarkable and, as a family, they noticed the change in Mikhail’s health within days of his taking the nutritional supplements.
Mikhail’s father commented, “We are delighted to have found the Sunflower Programme and we are happy to have put our son on it. It does require a lot of time and dedication to commit to it but we feel that the commitment has paid off. The proof is in the pudding and this pudding looks better than it did prior to The Sunflower Programme! We are so satisfied with the programme that we have recommended it to other families. We are so grateful to all those that made it possible for us to have bursary funding because without it, we would not have been able to put our son through the Sunflower Programme”.
