Professor Tony Antoniou Dean, Durham Business School, University of Durham.
Educated at the University of York and the London School of Economics. Dean of Durham Business School since January 2002, he was previously Professor of Finance and Chairman of the Economics Department from 1998. Before joining Durham University, he held a position at Brunel University as Professor of Finance and Head of Department. He has published widely in a variety of academic journals. Chaired the ESRC Financial Markets Group (FMG at London School of Economics) Evaluation Panel (2002).

Val Barnes is currently Headmistress of Brantwood Girls' School in Sheffield, a post she has held since September 2003. She is also Arts Editor of Living North magazine and writes regularly on contemporary northern artists for northern and London galleries.
Val was born in Chelsea and educated in London. She holds an Honours Degree in Modern Foreign Languages (French, Portuguese and Spanish) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Val has taught extensively in both the maintained and independent sectors, largely at senior management level, to all ages and abilities; from infants to adults. She has also worked abroad and was for a time, director of the American School in Bremen, Germany. In 1985, Val completed a Masters Degree in Comparative Education and Modern Foreign Language Teaching at the Institute of Education, University of London. In 2000, she went on to complete her MBA at the University of Durham Business School, where she was awarded a distinction for marketing.
Before taking up her present post in Sheffield, Val was managing director of a north-east based company, specialising in contemporary visual arts. This, she founded with two fellow MBAs, an investment banker and architect. In 2003, Val was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts for her services to education and the visual arts.

Lady Glover helped to begin the Children's Charity the Rainbow Trust of which she is also a Patron.
The Hon. Sir Peter Ramsbotham GCM, GCVO, DL Sir Peter Ramsbotham took up his post as British Ambassador to the United States in March 1974 in Washington, where he stayed for three and a half years. In 1977 he took up an appointment as Governor and Commander-in-Chief in Bermuda, a position he held until December 1980 when he retired to the UK. Since then he has been active as a Trustee of the Leonard Cheshire Foundation for the Physically Disabled and Chairman of the Ryder-Cheshire Mission for the relief of suffering.
He has held various positions in recent years.
From 1983 to 1993 he was a Director of Lloyds Bank From 1983 to 1990 he was Chairman of Lloyds Bank Southern Regional Board and a Director of Commercial Union From 1989 – 1997 he was Chairman of the Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief
